Fourth Graders Earn “Pie the Principal” Reward

Judy Jacobs Parkway fourth graders raised the most money during the school’s Coins for Cancer fundraiser. The students earned a fun reward where they took turns pieing Principal Mrs. Clampitt during their fourth-grade bagel breakfast.

26 Nifty States

Students in Ms. Castle and Ms. Massetti’s classes celebrated a year of learning about the 50 states by sharing fun facts about 26 states and performing patriotic songs for family and friends. Guests also toured a student-created museum and explored books about each state, highlighting the students’ research and learning throughout the year.

Object Guessing Winners

As part of the JJP Carnival, fourth grade students helped build excitement through a schoolwide Object Guessing Day. Students made their best guesses on a featured mystery jar, creating a fun, interactive activity that encouraged estimation skills and school spirit. Congratulations to the winners!

Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School valedictorian Mingshen Shi and salutatorian Soha Jhaveri were honored at the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents annual Valedictorian and Salutatorian Recognition Breakfast, which celebrates the top graduating students from high schools across Nassau County.

The Long Island Children’s Museum visited Judy Jacobs Parkway Elementary School to present its interactive “Bubble Pop” assembly. During the program, students experimented with creating giant bubbles, keeping them afloat for as long as possible and observing their different sizes, shapes, patterns, colors and reflections.

JJP Students Celebrate Writing Success at Author’s Tea Celebration

Ms. DeLuca’s class at Judy Jacobs Parkway Elementary School celebrated their final Author’s Celebration of the year with a special tea party showcasing students’ published opinion writing pieces. During the event, students shared their writing with their families and performed “A Million Dreams” through both singing and sign language.
